Writing rambles, don’t mind me.

This is the LONGEST TIME I’ve had between technically finishing a fic and not posting it. Normally, my fic writing process is this: finish fic, do edits and have it posted in the next twenty-four hours within the ending (or when I get it back from beta). Or, if not posted, sent to collaborators within that time (once they get the fic, I move on).

It’s KILLING me that I can’t edit right now, but I know I need more distance from this fic, so I can revise with a cool eye. There are lots of things to be going on with this piece of work, and you might as well do the best that you can in whatever skill you undertake.

It’s the first time I’ve been so high reaching in my fic writing for a minute. I’d like to think I have always been an ambitious and interesting writer before this, but eh, now this has me wondering.

I’m trying to build emotional fabric, these skill sets I don’t possess out of whole cloth, and it’s truly aggravating.

Right now, I’m not even looking at fic. I’m writing postcards to send to people for the Chinese New Year.
