broke 40k on this fic

kaixoLike, what the everloving hell, self?
This fic is the longest thing I've ever written, bar none. It's breaking 40k words, and I still have scenes yet to expand (I've finished the first draft, and am now doing revisions on the draft). These scenes are the end (too pat), certain scenes of an erotic bent (I just need one key one, and then one where they fade to black), and tightening of plot points.
It will be fine. I have this weekend free (next weekend, I'm working), and the hope is to finish all of this by then. I have to hand it over to someone to see if it suits the criteria of pod_together. If not, I'll post it and move on with my life.
I have a B1 certification in German to work towards, and I am aiming to get it done for December, 2018.
