More cowbell!

I pretty much say this when I’m revising my podfic. I am getting better at expression, but still not yet there. I’m not sweating it though, it will come eventually. Right now, I’m trying to work on my invisible edits (smoother transitions, dynamic pauses, de essing and the rest of it). I gotta say though, I can see why certain podficcers don’t go over two thousand words whilst reading. This latest podfic I’m doing is 7k, and I’m editing and just… it’s stamina, you know? To just actively listen for things all the time.

My voice is pretty much shot at, at the minute, so I’m going to rest it now. These are my second and third fics in Audacity. I don’t want to do a comparison post between Garage Band and Audacity until I’ve done three more. On the bright side, my invisible edits are getting better! Podfic covers, ehhh. If I’m going to design them, I probably need to read up on eye-flow and colour composition, and the rule of threes, etc, because the first cover annoys me and NOW I know why. But not today, not today.
