Right, I have one hour of time

kaixoTo record stuff. The way how my life is set up now, I can only sit down to podfic if I’m guaranteed at least an hour’s block of time. As it is right now, I can only record in my bedroom (best bits re: noise control, it isn’t too tinny or echoey), and I read from my phone (papers are too noisy, and I don’t really get on with the safari bit where you can minimise the computer screen and read).
I’m at the point where I’m just recording podfics from my fandom’s BP as practice, but I will admit, I’m not into a lot of the more popular football teams or pairings (save Gerlonso).
Footie fandom is a Balkanized fandom, and I’ll never be into Bayern Munich, Man United, Man City, Real Madrid or various national teams (nyah, nyah, nyah, you can’t make me), and some of the rare pairings make me blink hard.
That being said, this whinge is from a writer who was the only Moreno/Manquillo shipper out there writing the pairing, and pretty much started writing Dele/Dier fic because I couldn’t bribe the writer I wanted to write it for me, so I had to do it myself.
Long story short, I have no legs to stand on.
Beggars (like me) can’t be choosers, as there aren’t many writers in footie fandom who have BP and I need the practice, so this is what I’m working with.
Also, my voice isn’t the most dulcet tones (although ESL speakers like it because the words are clear and they can understand my accent, so swings and roundabouts).
I’ve found a few short fics that I like, so I will do a couple (<3k words) and keep it moving. They may not see the light of day though. That’s fine too.
