2nd effort kinda done

kaixoAt least, the recording is done. I mostly edit as I go, because I notice when I edit at the end of things (in terms of rereading the odd line), the audio quality changes.
With this project, I recorded in THREE places: started in my room, middle section in the passage of my house and spent most the recording in my car, and just finished the ending in my room. I will do the listen through in a minute. For those who are reading, some questions and observations

- I understand now why podficcers zealously guard their time, tbh. It is so difficult to find the perfect parcel of time to record. I’m not even asking for pinpoint silence, just enough as not to distract.
- I’ve been recording with bird song in the background, in between cars driving on the side of the road and drivers leaning on their horns.
- How do you store your audio files? Right now, I have everything on GarageBand, and as soon as I’m done I’m uploading to Dropbox (or trying to, GarageBand doesn’t seem to play with others. WTF, apple?). ETA- I’ve gotten a workaround. Fear me. It is ugly and sneaky AF, but I don’t care.
- I think I might have to buy extra storage space in Dropbox, but I need to know how heavy this work is going to be.
- This effort was an 8,5 k piece of work which came up to 49 mins in play time (the recording is relatively clean). I will do a final listen through and edit, but not right now. I think I need to avoid ‘ear fatigue’. I’ll listen to it tomorrow
- When recording, I will just turn off wifi and get it done. I demand silence, and I am not going to be tweaking with apps, savvy?
- Because the weather is lovely, I’m trying to get as much vitamin D as I can. There’s an uptick in social events, so I might have to get my recordings down either very early or very late. I can edit my recordings anywhere and anytime, but to record is pretty optimal. Us writers have an easier time of things in this regard, tbh.
