stick a fork in me, I'm done
Apr. 29th, 2018 06:07 pmOr at least my first podfic is. It’s middling to less than middling, and I have a reverb to slot into the team chorus (there’s a part where people are singing a Spurs song), but for all intents and purposes, it’s done.
This effort might never see the light of day, but I have three other practice fics to do before I do the one that I really really want *heart eyes*. Watch me go and beg this writer for fic permissions, GDI.
- Nothing beats a good basic audio. If you have a good basic audio (decent sound quality, no echoes, no noise) it beats doing a lot of work post production
- It’s less reading and more performing, to tell the truth. To say ‘reading’ is to minimise the effort (and reading makes it pretty monotone), it’s mood, effect, and exaggeration for mood.
- I’ll have to slow down my reading.
- I keep duplicating sections of fic, because when I delete, I drag the wavefiles and seem to be making a mess of it. Something to note.
- I need to play around Garageband’s music library a bit more. Or expand my music choices a bit more
PODFIC IS BLOODY HARD. If I never had respect for the medium or its creators before, I do now!
