Day 5

Recommend a fannish or creative resource.

• Written kitten - whenever I'm stuck I just type so I can see a new kitten every 100 words. If puppies are your jam written puppy


• I do write football RPF, so my jam is Transfermarkt. They have players, their teams, how much they cost, etc


• Because I tend to like arm chair travelling, I tend to do a lot of that in my fic, so I find traveladvisor helpful, in terms of people describing the places they have been. The forums are quite helpful too

That's about it, I think. Today is a quiet day.

These are great. My always open tab when writing football fic seems to be whoscored since I'm inevitably talking about something that happened in some match. It's the best resource I've found for match reports and what players played where and who scored/subbed/assisted and who played well. It's a constant need.

Thanks for the traveladvisor help. I don't know why I've never thought of using it before, but it seems like an obviously good resource.

When it comes to match days, I tend to just type stuff into google, but your resource is a lot more straightforward. I do like Transfermarkt, because they give you everything about the player down to their shoe sponsor and agency, and they are pretty current with everything.

Yeah, I love on traveladvisor. The forums are really good for local colour, and just finding out about how things work in places (like the Turkish postal system) which only adds a bit more authenticity to what you want to do.

Yeah, I just like WhoScored because it keeps everything in one place and is pretty searchable. It lets you down a bit if you have to go way back in time, but for current season things it's a really great visual/report on how things progressed. I like to make sure I get the football bits as accurate as I can, so it's pretty much always open.

I do use Transfermarkt too. Yeah, I like that they have decent info on things that others don't (agency is a bit one I keep randomly needing). They're good.

I'm super excited about the traveladvisor lead for the future. Definitely could have used that a few other times in my writings.
