You’ve decided to podfic it.

I’m now past the point of the “OMG what am I DOING?” part of the process, where I was just doing fic in order to get the hang of it. Now that I’ve gotten the general basics (I’m not saying I’m an uberpodficcer, and that there isn’t more that I have to learn - every day’s a school day, after all), I’m at the point where I’m all, “Do I like this fic enough to podfic it?”

If it isn’t an immediate yes, I’m moving on. Although- I’m still pacing myself. In that, before I try a fic I like at the word count I want, I do try to do a fic with an equal wordcount I’m not so bothered about if the process goes tits up. Although, I’m finding out, this approach falls away if you’re doing fics 15k and counting. If you like a fic that’s 15k and over, you have to like it enough to spend time with it. Because by the time you’re finished, you might get sick to the back teeth of it.

Today is fixing to be one of those days where it’s too hot to stick your head out. Also, when the day is like this, all parks are heaving with people, so I might just stick to the garden today, and hopefully it will be quiet enough for a sneaky stab at recording.

Just setting up some spreadsheets in order to chart my podfic progress. So far I have 3.8 hours of completed audio. That mightn’t be enough for what I need to make this project work.

Looked at the fics lined up, and that’s another six hours, give or take. By the time I’m done, I might have ten hours of audio instead of fifteen. Somehow, I’m going to have to find fics with five more hours of audio. I’ve reached out to two authors for BP but no dice. So, I might just do more fic with BP, tbh. I really want 15hours of completed audio.

I think out of the 15 hours, 12 might be Footie RPF. What fun.

I have questions for podficcers but not now. It’s too late.
