I should be abed, but never mind. I decided to get acquainted with Audacity now, because I have a camping trip tomorrow.

So far, I understand fades, shift and select tool.

Compression is my friend. I’m flirting with the noise reduction and we might be in love. I know that we are handfasted to other people, but we can make this *work* between us.

No, no, don’t try and talk me out of it. We are MFEO.

The pencil tool (to take my spikes down, because I can be loud and pitchy) has flummoxed me at the minute. I think it shaves down the spiky bits for a smoother audio. It keeps telling me GO BIGGER and I’m like, “What are you, a size queen?”

Anyway, I am still working on the edits, but I do normally edit as I go on, and then do a big edit at the end.
